Indiana Joint Replacement Institute is seeking a Circulating Nurse to ensure patient safety and provide nursing care during transfers, positioning, and procedures in the operating room. The role supports anesthesia, maintains aseptic technique, and ensures accurate intraoperative counts and documentation.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program and holds an Indiana RN or LPN license, with prior orthopedic or outpatient surgery experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and Indiana RN/LPN license.
• Healthcare experience or equivalent; outpatient or ambulatory surgery center preferred.
• Experience in orthopedic surgery desirable.
• Knowledge of facility equipment including C-arm, patient monitors, defibrillators and related tech.

Responsabilités

• Ensure patient safety and nursing care during transfers to/from the OR and while in the operating suite.
• Assist with aseptic technique and instrument handling according to department procedures.
• Prepare OR for each case and set up instrument trays.
• Assist anesthesia with intubation/extubation and anesthesia blocks.
• Maintain OR cleanliness, room readiness, and accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.
