Responsibilities

• Prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care for patients utilizing the nursing process.
• Leads and coordinates with ancillary departments and care team while maintaining standards of practice.
• Participates in Quality Improvement and discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises and evaluates nursing care; leads unit-level decision making.
• Administers medications with knowledge of actions and contraindications; transcribes physician orders.
• Performs oncology chemotherapy administration safely and understands mechanisms and dosages.
