Job summary

North Campus Surgery Center, a leading outpatient surgical facility, is hiring an Operating Room Charge Nurse to supervise OR staff and coordinate daily case flow. The role emphasizes efficient operations, staff meetings, and communication with physicians.

The position requires Missouri RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and 3 years of surgical experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred; CNOR is a plus. Sign-On bonus up to $20,000 offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school or professional nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in surgery.
• Current Missouri RN License.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
• CNOR preferred.
• Independent decision making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the OR staff to provide a daily smooth flow of cases.
• Assists in coordination of daily case scheduling in the OR with other staff to ensure smooth flow (OR & X-Ray).
• Prepares monthly call schedules.
• Coordinate and lead monthly OR staff meetings for OR, radiology, and anesthesia techs.
• Communicate effectively with physicians to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
• Orders instruments and equipment for cases.
• Coordinate inventory quarterly in all areas of the OR.
• Assist with OR education by coordinating/giving in-services.
• Prepare schedules in the afternoon for next day.
