Job summary

Lafayette Surgical Hospital is seeking a Surgical Attendant to join our day team, Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm. The role supports the operating room by transporting patients, assisting with positioning, and ensuring efficient turnover under RN or MD supervision.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, at least 1 year of hospital experience, and current CPR certification. Candidates should be committed to patient safety, confidentiality, and excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to designated areas, ensuring comfort and safety under supervision.
• Transports and cleans equipment in the operating room and handles cleaning processes.
• Assists in room turnovers to expedite OR utilization.
• Checks stock levels and restocks units per guidelines.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to hospital policies.
