Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Nursing Manager to oversee daily operations, patient flow, staffing assignments, and clinical care while promoting a safe, collaborative work environment.

The role requires BSN, GA RN licensure, and at least 2 years of healthcare experience; leadership or management experience is preferred. You will mentor staff, support education and career development, and ensure compliance with BLS/PALS requirements and department standards.

Qualifications

  • BSN required.
  • RN license in GA or multi-state via eNLC.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
  • PALS or PEARS within 1 year of employment as required by department specifications.
  • Professional Nursing Certification deemed by department required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership to the patient care team.
  • Promote safe patient care and efficient patient flow.
  • Support staff development and education.
  • Drive adherence to budget, productivity, and resource use.
  • May serve as unit leader on shift in the manager's absence.

Job Description

Works under the direction of the manager to facilitate daily operations, including patient flow, staffing assignments, safe patient care and to promote a healthy work environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience required

Preferred Qualifications

1 year of Clinical Nurse 3-5 level or management/administrative experience in a healthcare setting.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Certification Summary
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) within 1 year of employment as required by department specifications
  • Professional Nursing Certification deemed by department required upon one year of hire
