Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Nursing-Management leader for the night shift to supervise patient flow, staffing, and safe care for pediatric patients. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and hospital leadership to maintain high-quality outcomes.

Requires a BSN, GA RN license (or Multi-State via compact), BLS within 30 days, and PALS/PEARS within 1 year; minimum 2 years of healthcare experience; strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced NLC.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of employment or start of ED shift; PALS/PEARS within 1 year.
  • Minimum 2 years’ healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of care and act as clinical resource for patient population.
  • Participate in educational processes and foster professional development.
  • Lead on-shift as unit leader in absence of manager and ensure safe patient flow.
  • Drive admission, transfer and discharge processes with physicians and teams.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and regulatory readiness.

Experience

Minimum 2 years’ healthcare experience required

Preferred Qualifications

1 year of Clinical Nurse 3-5 level or management/administrative experience in a healthcare setting

Certification Summary

Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment or upon start of clinical shift if working in the Emergency Department (ED) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification from the American Heart Association within 1 year of employment as required by department specifications Professional Nursing certification deemed by department required upon one year of hire

May serve as unit leader on shift in absence of manager. Drives and effectively facilitates admission, transfer, and discharge process, ensuring efficient and safe patient flow through collaboration with physicians, inter-professional team, hospital leadership, and staff. Removes or escalates barriers to appropriate leader.
