Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required; motivated candidates welcome.
• Preferred: 3–6 months healthcare or related experience.
• Education: GED or HiSET required.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operating room turnover and room setup to support on-time surgical schedules.
• Prepare surgical suites according to procedure-specific needs.
• Clean, inspect, and maintain equipment; report concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment following infection prevention protocols.
• Stock supplies and manage inventory including PAR levels.
• Transport patients safely within the perioperative area.
• Assist with patient positioning before and during procedures.
• Support Heart & Vascular staff with pre-operative preparation.
• Handle blood product pickups as directed by RN or Coordinator.
• Answer department phones and provide general perioperative support.
• Complete required annual education and participate in ongoing learning.
