Baystate Health is seeking a Perioperative Orderly to support the surgical team in the Perioperative and Heart & Vascular Services. The role involves turnover, equipment cleaning, supply stocking, patient transport and positioning, and other duties under RN supervision.

Schedule: Full Time Day shift – 36 hours (7am-7:30pm) Rotating Weekends and holidays required
Position Summary
Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Perioperative Orderly supports direct and indirect patient care activities within Perioperative and Heart & Vascular Services. This role works closely with the entire surgical team—including nurses, physicians, surgeons, technicians, and other hospital staff—to ensure efficient workflow, patient safety, and a clean, well-stocked surgical environment.
Responsibilities include assisting with operating room turnover, equipment cleaning and inspection, supply stocking, patient transport and positioning, and other support duties as assigned. The Orderly is also authorized to retrieve blood products from Transfusion Medicine Services as directed by a Registered Nurse or Coordinator. This position has no supervisory responsibilities and reports directly to the Manager or a designated member of the Perioperative leadership team.

No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
