Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an Operating Room Assistant to support direct patient care under licensed personnel and perform daily unit functions. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of hospital experience, with preferred allied health training.

Candidates may work irregular hours, including weekends. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within two weeks of hire is required, with ongoing maintenance.

Job Description

High school diploma or equivalency (GED) with at least six months of experience working in a hospital setting. Completion of a recognized allied health h course or six months patient care experience in a health care setting preferred. May require working irregular hours, rotating shifts and weekends.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:

Basic Life Support (BLS) within the first two weeks of hire. Thereafter, must maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS), either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
