Medical University of South Carolina (MUHA) is seeking an Operating Room Assistant to support licensed personnel by providing direct patient care and assisting with daily unit functions in the OR. The ideal candidate will combine clinical exposure with a strong work ethic and flexibility to meet patient needs.

A high school diploma or GED with at least six months hospital experience is required; completion of an allied health course is preferred.

Job Description

Additional Job Description

High school diploma or equivalency (GED) with at least six months of experience working in a hospital setting. Completion of a recognized allied health h course or six months patient care experience in a health care setting preferred. May require working irregular hours, rotating shifts and weekends.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:

Basic Life Support (BLS) within the first two weeks of hire. Thereafter, must maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS), either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
