OhioHealth in Columbus is seeking an OR Assistant to support surgical services. You will help with room and case turnover, gather, check, and organize supplies and equipment, and assist with sterile processing.
You'll also support OR readiness through patient transportation, positioning, and room prep, and may precept new OR assistants. This role requires a high school diploma, strong teamwork, and the ability to work a 40-hour week with varying shifts.

Additional college level science courses of aseptic technique, human anatomy/body mechanics, surgical procedures/medical terminology.
The ideal candidate has the mentality to perform under pressure and in high stress situations, ability to learn quickly on the job and accept feedback, strong interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage time and range of tasks. The candidate must be able to work on their feet in a fast-paced environment for a minimum of 8 hours a day and lift 20 -25lbs.
Candidate must be able to work 7-3p, 5 days a week for 3-4 months while in orientation before entering their assigned shift.
