Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking an Anesthesia Tech for part-time day shift. The role supports anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists in various anesthesia procedures, ensuring patient safety and care in the operating room.

Required high school diploma, at least 1 year in a fast-paced clinical setting, and annual BLS certification. Preferred candidate will have anesthesia tech program enrollment or prior anesthesia tech experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year in a fast-paced clinical setting required.
• Prior experience as an Anesthesia Technician or current enrollment in an Anesthesia Tech program preferred.
• One-year formal education with background in medical terminology, health sciences, EKG, or pharmacology.
• Preferred experience in hospital critical care units.
• Annual BLS certification required.
• Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia professionals according to the OR schedule.
• Prepare and drape patients for invasive monitoring procedures.
• Assist with arterial, central venous, and pulmonary artery monitoring.
• Ensure necessary equipment is available in each operating room.
• Prepare and assemble equipment for monitoring.
• Keep anesthesia workstations clean and organized.
• Stock and rotate supplies in workrooms and anesthesia stations.
• Refill medications and manage medication levels in Pyxis.
