Job summary

Trinity Health in Michigan is seeking a Perioperative Service Tech to assist with planning, purchasing, installation and preventive maintenance of anesthesia equipment and supplies. You will liaise with the Department of Anesthesia and support patient care while maintaining work areas.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment tracking, room preparation, sterilization, and helping with Sterile Processing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of anesthesia experience.
• Working knowledge of anesthesia equipment and procedures.

• Prepares rooms and sterile fields, works with Sterile Processing, verifies instruments/supplies, and prioritizes workflow.
• Cleans and decontaminates instruments, educates ancillary staff, ensures safe transport, and performs other related duties.

Position Purpose

Assists with the planning, purchasing, installation, and preventive maintenance of anesthesia equipment and supplies. Functions as a liaison to other departments regarding anesthesia supplies and equipment. Assists the Department of Anesthesia with patient care. Maintains work and storage areas for the Department of Anesthesiology.
