Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking an OR Aide for Gouverneur Hospital. The role provides essential operating room support, including preparing anesthesia equipment, assisting providers, and ensuring sterile room turnover between cases. Per diem schedule includes daytime hours (7am-3:30pm).

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and experience in a sterile environment. Union: 1199 SEIU (GH); physical requirements apply; compensation ranges per posted pay scale.

Qualifications

• Experience with sterility in surgical environments.
• Ability to restock and manage anesthesia supplies.
• Experience in handling surgical equipment and maintaining rooms between surgeries.
• Ability to move and position patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains anesthesia equipment and supplies as directed.
• Assist anesthesia providers as directed.
• Ensure surgical rooms are cleaned and turned over between surgeries in accordance with infection control policies.
• Monitor and assist with inventory control including restocking anesthesia supplies.
• Assist in moving and positioning patients.
• Participate in performance improvement projects.
• Deliver equipment to specified areas (e.g., orthopedic equipment, beds, stretchers, positioning devices).
