Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least six months of hospital experience.
• Completion of a recognized allied health course or six months patient care experience preferred.
• May require working irregular hours, rotating shifts and weekends.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within the first two weeks of hire; thereafter maintain BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of licensed personnel, assists in providing direct patient care and tasks required for daily unit functions.
• Supports the OR team with patient care activities as needed.
• Participates in patient safety and infection control protocols as required.
