Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Operating Engineer in Maitland, FL to support operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. On-site presence is required with a 9am–6pm schedule and rotating on-call duties.

The role emphasizes completing maintenance tasks, managing work orders, and performing preventive inspections while ensuring safety and high service standards for tenants and building systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 feet.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks including painting, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance.
• Maintain Prism work order system and complete tenant service requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Support on-call or emergency response when needed.

What this job involves:

Develop your engineering career at JLL! The Operating Engineer supports operation, inspection and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems.

Schedule:

9am-6pm Monday through Friday + rotating on-call (2 weeks every 4 weeks) and evenings and weekends as needed for special projects.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance (as allowed by any licensing requirements)
• Maintain work order system (Prism) daily and complete any tenant service requests
• Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks
• Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)
• Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls
• Comply with all safety procedures
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
• Other projects and tasks to be assigned
• On-site presence required

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive
• Strong customer service skills
