CommonSpirit Health seeks an Operating Engineer for CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy. You will independently perform journeyman-level duties related to energy plant, hospital operations, and equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and occupant comfort.

You will operate boilers, chillers, absorbers, and air handling systems, monitor controls, and prepare water treatment reports, focusing on reliability and continuous improvement in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of boiler operation experience.
• License: Third Grade Station Engineer NE on hire.
• Second Grade Engineer NE preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operates high-pressure boilers.
• Operates chillers and absorbers.
• Compiles water treatment reports.
• Maintenance on boilers, chillers, pumps, steam pipes and related machinery.
• Operates automated building control computer and makes corrections as required.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Operating Engineer, you will independently perform journeyman-level duties, responsible for daily operational issues concerning the energy plant, hospital, and associated equipment/systems. Every day, you will design, construct, install, or maintain building systems and equipment, ensuring safety, functionality, efficiency, and occupant comfort. You will also monitor equipment/system problems and recommend solutions for optimal facility performance. Success in this role requires extensive technical expertise, a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, excellent problem-solving, and autonomous work with high operational standards.

• Operates high-pressure boilers.

We are offering a $5,000 Sign on Bonus and Shift Incentive to new hires that meet eligibility requirements
