Job summary

Trace3 is seeking a Platform Operations Engineer, DevOps for on-site work in King of Prussia, PA (and other listed locations). The role supports Space Programs with deployment, integration, and sustainment of mission-critical systems in classified environments.

You will operate at the intersection of OpenShift platform operations, Rundeck automation, and standard system administration with security controls, emphasizing hands-on deployments, incident response, and infrastructure integration.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to maintain clearance eligibility; SCI preferred.
• Hands-on experience supporting OpenShift platform operations, Linux/Windows administration, and operational automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Rundeck.
• Strong troubleshooting across distributed systems and infrastructure layers.
• Experience with security compliance, system hardening, audit readiness, and mission-critical environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement across operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and programs.
• 2+ years in infrastructure engineering, platform operations, or related roles in enterprise/classified settings.
• Experience developing Rundeck workflows for automation and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of OpenShift environments within classified networks.
• Ensure platform reliability and integration with mission applications and infrastructure services.
• Design and maintain Rundeck runbooks for deployment workflows and incident response.
• Maintain operational automation that is consistent, repeatable, and auditable.
• Provide hands-on support for Linux/Windows, including patching and lifecycle upkeep.
• Act as escalation point during outages and deployment issues.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and restore mission capability under tight timelines.
