Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC is seeking an Applications & Middleware IT Administrator in Denton, TX on a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite). You will focus on OpenShift/Kubernetes application administration, maintain Apache/Tomcat/JBoss middleware, and support both on‑prem and AWS-hosted apps critical to engineering operations.

You’ll work with global teams, handle production issues, and improve application reliability while leveraging Linux expertise and traditional middleware skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes for application administration (pods, deployments, troubleshooting).
• Strong Linux systems administration (Red Hat/Linux).
• Experience deploying, supporting, and maintaining enterprise middleware (Apache, Tomcat, JBoss/WildFly).
• Experience in production environments and incident management systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration across distributed teams.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting enterprise applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or similar field.

Responsibilities

• Administer applications in OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
• Troubleshoot production issues to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams across US and Europe.
