Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced OpenShift Enterprise Architect to design, implement, and govern enterprise container‑platform architectures within the AEGIS program for NASA facilities. The role requires 8+ years of senior experience across OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Linux in on‑prem environments.

You will lead security architecture, platform governance, and cross‑organization integration, ensuring scalable, resilient OpenShift platforms aligned with enterprise IT standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent.
• 8+ years of combined OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Linux experience.
• Red Hat OpenShift Administration certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Proficient in OpenShift administration, cluster management, deployment, config, troubleshooting, tuning, and patching.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts and networking, security, and platform services.
• Scripting with Python for automation; strong communication skills for cross‑team collaboration.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Define end‑to‑end architecture for enterprise OpenShift platform, including topology and HA patterns.
• Develop lifecycle plans, deployment workflows, and baselines.
• Establish standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns for workloads.
• Lead capacity planning, scalability modeling, and performance improvements.
• Oversee on‑prem and hybrid OpenShift installations, upgrades, and multi‑cluster governance.
• Ensure security policies, zero‑trust controls, and certificate management across clusters.
• Provide architectural guidance for onboarding, integration, and workload migrations.
