Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems seeks a DevOps Engineer (OpenShift) in Charlotte, NC, operating in a hybrid model. You will manage OpenShift/Kubernetes, build and deploy plans, and support multiple releases within agile workflows.

The role emphasizes CI/CD with Bitbucket, Ansible, Jenkins, and Git, plus Java/J2EE development and monitoring using Eclipse and Splunk. Cloud-native design on AWS/Azure/GCP and IaC are key components.

Qualifications

Proven experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift container platforms.
Hands-on with Bitbucket, Ansible, Jenkins, and Git for DevOps/CI-CD.
Strong Java/J2EE development experience and familiarity with Eclipse and Splunk.

Responsibilities

Manage Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms end-to-end including architecture, config, deployment, and troubleshooting.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, Ansible, Jenkins, and Git.
Design, develop, and support enterprise Java/J2EE applications.
Utilize Eclipse and Splunk for development and monitoring.
Apply code quality tooling like SonarQube and Crucible.
Design and maintain cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Create and maintain IaC and automation scripts for cloud provisioning.
Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and scale.
Work with Docker and container deployment.
