Job summary

Red Hat Consulting is seeking an OpenShift Infrastructure Architect with deep Kubernetes and virtualization expertise. Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, consulting, or platform engineering roles.
• Proven experience in pre-sales or customer-facing roles.
• Strong expertise in Red OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM) and migration strategies.
• Experience with OpenShift Virtualization or similar VM modernization approaches.
• Solid understanding of compute, storage, networking in enterprise infra.
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and IaC practices.
• Strong communication and executive storytelling skills.

About the job:

The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for an OpenShift Infrastructure Architect with deep expertise in Kubernetes platforms and virtualization technologies. In this role, you will act as a t rusted technical leader across both pre-sales and delivery, helping customers define and implement their infrastructure transformation journey.
You will engage early in the sales cycle to understand customer needs, shape solutions, and support proposals. During delivery, you will lead the architecture and implementation of OpenShift-based platforms, including OpenShift Virtualization, ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies.
By leveraging Red OpenShift, hybrid cloud, and automation practices, you will help customers consolidate infrastructure, modernize datacenters, and adopt a unified platform for VMs and containers

What you will do:

What you will bring:

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, consulting, or platform engineering roles
• Proven experience in pre-sales or customer‑facing roles, supporting complex solution sales cycles
• Strong expertise in Red OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) and migration strategies
• Experience with OpenShift Virtualization or similar approaches to VM modernization
• Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure (compute, storage, networking)
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) and IaC practices
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including executive‑level storytelling
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and architectures
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• Red certifications are a plus
