Job summary

DigiCert is seeking an experienced OpenSearch Administrator to design, implement, maintain, and optimize our OpenSearch environments that power our global SaaS platforms. You will collaborate with a global team to ensure secure, scalable search infrastructure and reliable indexing services across services and regions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering OpenSearch clusters.
• Strong understanding of OpenSearch architecture and core concepts.
• Experience with OpenSearch Dashboards, Logstash-compatible pipelines, and OpenSearch Data Prepper.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of JVM tuning and garbage collection optimization.
• Experience with monitoring tools (OpenSearch Dashboards, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cluster health, performance, and resource utilization.
• Implement security best practices including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Develop backup and recovery strategies for OpenSearch clusters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex OpenSearch issues.
• Perform cluster upgrades and patches with minimal downtime.
• Optimize query performance and data indexing strategies.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement efficient search solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation for OpenSearch configurations and procedures.
• Provide on-call support and weekend coverage as needed.
