Job summary

Roux in Summit, NJ is hiring servers for our opening team. Join a brand-new restaurant from Villa Restaurant Group and help deliver friendly, attentive service to guests while taking orders and explaining menu items.

You’ll work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced setting, require flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays, and benefit from competitive pay, growth opportunities, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous serving or restaurant experience preferred.
• Friendly, outgoing personality and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive service to every Guest.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately.
• Explain menu items, specials and recommendations.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately.
• Check in with Guests and respond to questions or requests.
• Process payments and handle transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Work closely with Hosts, kitchen team and other Servers.
• Follow food safety and service standards.
