The City of Longmont’s External Services department invites applications for an Open Space Specialist II in the Community Enrichment division. This full-time, benefits-eligible role supports property records, real estate and conservation transactions, grants, and stewardship programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in natural resources, land management, planning, geography, public administration, environmental studies, real estate, or a related field; three years of related experience.
• Special Qualifications: Colorado driver’s license; annual Traffic Safety Awareness Training; CPR/First Aid may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize property, project, and transaction records, including deeds and easements.
• Coordinate document flow, filing, and record retention for real estate matters.
• Assist with preparation and routing of transaction materials and supporting documentation.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy; follow up as needed.
• Support due diligence with appraisals, surveys, title materials, and closing docs.
• Maintain recordkeeping systems and files per City procedures.
• Coordinate with internal departments, external agencies, and title companies.
