Job summary

Control Risks in Washington state is seeking an Open-Source Intelligence Researcher to support a complex threat intelligence program. The role will conduct research across multiple venues to identify threats and threatening discourse around our clients.

Responsibilities include producing concise written analyses, peer reviews, and gathering information from open sources, social media, and the deep/dark web; Spanish/Portuguese language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Experience in open-source intelligence collection and threat analysis.
• Experience directing, collecting, and analyzing information to produce timely and actionable intelligence.
• Practical knowledge of the deep and dark web threat landscape
• Additional languages (Spanish/Portuguese) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research across multiple venues to identify threats and threatening discourse surrounding clients.
• Identify trends in negative chatter surrounding clients.
• Gather information on individuals and groups posing threats through open source, social media and deep/dark web research.
• Produce bespoke threat assessments with targeted research topics as requested.
• Develop capabilities to collect and analyse information in support of the team’s mission.
