Job summary

You will design Kubernetes-based image strategies, manage package workflows, advance SBOM practices, and mentor engineers while collaborating with DQS and Legal. Strong R/Python expertise and cloud experience are required.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years hands-on software engineering with open source tech.
• Deep expertise in R and Python, including package development.
• Strong container management experience with Docker/Kubernetes in production.
• Experience with open source tooling and workflows (CRAN, PyPI, Artifactory/Nexus).
• Knowledge of license, vulnerability, SBOM scanning and governance.
• Experience with multilingual/NLP tech and localization tooling is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Excellent communication and collaboration in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Own container management and image pipelines for open source tooling.
• Design and operate container orchestration and registry strategy.
• Lead open source package management across tech stack.
• Maintain internal package repositories to manage dependencies and licensing.
• Drive open source compliance including license scanning and SBOM generation.
• Define intake, approval, and risk assessment for new packages and containers.
• Contribute code and docs to open source projects and upstreams.
• Mentor engineers on container practices and compliance-by-design.
