Emerson College seeks an entrepreneurial sports industry leader and/or scholar to join its nationally recognized SportsCommunication program in the Department of Communication Studies in Boston. The appointment is open rank and may be tenure-track or tenured, beginning August 19, 2027, with an orientation.

The successful candidate will teach, mentor, and build an interdisciplinary academic center focused on sports leadership, management, communication, media, and civic life, while forging

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in communication or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience required.
• Distinguished leadership or scholarship in sports industry preferred.
• Prior classroom teaching experience and interdisciplinary curriculum development at the college level.

Responsabilités

• Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
• Advise and mentor students while developing experiential learning opportunities.
• Engage in partnerships with Boston sports teams and other programs for experiential learning.
• Develop and lead interdisciplinary curriculum related to sports leadership, management, and media.
