Job summary

National Louis University in Chicago, IL seeks a full-time, 12-month Simulation Faculty to teach in the BSN program and in the Center for Simulation in the Foundations of Nursing Practice lab. Full time12-month faculty position will teach in both the on-ground BSN program and in the Center for Simulation in the Foundations of Nursing Practice lab. Additionally, under the direction of the Executive Director of Nursing and the Director of Simulation and Interprofessional Education this faculty will assist with development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the Foundations Lab and Simulation curricula. The Simulation Faculty will also engage in running simulations as directed by the Director of the CSIE. The Simulation Faculty will also collaborate and work in conjunction with the Simulation Technician to set up for labs and simulation.

Qualifications

Required

• Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Simulation or related field
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience
• Minimum 1 year simulation based experience
• Unencumbered Illinois nursing license or ability to obtain

Preferred

• Previous teaching experience in nursing or simulation-based education
• Experience leading simulation scenario design and debriefing
• Familiarity with simulation platforms (e.g., Laerdal LLEAP, SimCapture, CAE Maestro)
• Certification in simulation education or willingness to obtain within 1 year such as CHSE or CHSOS
• Experience with online/virtual simulation tools (e.g., vSim, SimX)
• Knowledge of accreditation standards from INACSL, NLN and SSH
