Augusta University’s Department of Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine seeks applications for an open rank faculty position (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) in neuroscience research, focused on age-related cognitive impairment, neurodegeneration, and regeneration.

Applicants should have a strong record of research productivity and extramural funding, with eligibility for tenure-track or tenured appointments. Rank will be determined by qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. and/or M.D. from an accredited college or university and eligible for a faculty appointment at Assistant, Associate, or Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cutting edge research in the fields of neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration and neuroregeneration.
• Carry out research projects independently; design and execute research experiments, perform data analysis, write manuscripts, and publish results.
• Establish vigorous independent extramurally funded research programs to complement research strengths and goals of the department and university.
• Develop new methods and technology and work collaboratively with others in the laboratory and in the department.
• Assist with training and supervision of students, postdocs, and technicians.
