Job summary

Augusta University is recruiting an open-rank full-time faculty member in Pediatric Neurology. The successful candidate will develop a robust clinical practice and work as part of a treatment team including physicians, APPs, and nurses in Neurology.

The role is non-tenure track, with responsibilities spanning teaching, clinical duties in the pediatric neurology clinic and inpatient services, and an emphasis on building an extramurally funded research program.

Qualifications

• Evidence of ability as a teacher.
• Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned.
• Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Teaching, clinical, and research activities in an academic environment with pediatric neurologists.
• Clinical responsibilities in the pediatric neurology clinic and inpatient services.
• Teaching medical students, clerkships, and residents; mentoring trainees; teaching continuing education programs.
• Develop an independent, extramurally funded research program.
• Participate in professional, public, and university service and committee work.
