Job summary

The University of New Mexico School of Law invites applications for faculty positions starting in fall 2027. The School seeks a tenured or tenure-track faculty member to teach legal writing and related courses, with the potential to contribute to upper-level writing curricula.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school or equivalent foreign degree.
• Excellent or promise of excellence in teaching legal analysis and writing.
• Commitment to teaching legal writing and advising curriculum design.

Responsibilities

• Teach Elements of Legal Argumentation I & II and first-year writing sequence.
• Teach upper-level writing courses and help design the program's curriculum.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the School of Law's broader curriculum.
