Job Description & Qualification

The Accounting Group of the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University invites applications for an open non-tenure track faculty position to be located at the Boston, Massachusetts Campus of the university, with employment beginning in August 2025. These are full-time, benefits-eligible positions that may be on the Lecturer or Teaching Professor track, depending on qualifications and interest. Lecturers are responsible primarily for teaching and some service, while Teaching Professors also have research expectations.

The major responsibilities are:

Teaching Professors:

Teaching in our undergraduate and graduate programs (60%)
Research to maintain scholarly academic status (20%)
Services to the Accounting Group, DMSB and the University (20%)

Lecturers:

Teaching in our undergraduate and graduate programs (90%)
Services to the Accounting Group, DMSB and the University (10%)

Qualifications:

Candidates for a Lecturer must have a Master’s degree and candidates for a Teaching Professor must have a doctorate in Accounting or a closely related field by the appointment start date. Candidates for appointment at ranks above the entry-level must have at least 4 years of college teaching and/or professional experience. Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching and research, and fostering an environment of belonging for our student population.
