Job summary

The Division of Infectious Diseases at the UNC School of Medicine is recruiting for an Open Rank on the variable track.

Duties include general ID consultations at UNC Medical Center and UNC Hospitals Hillsborough Campus, participation in ambulatory and inpatient ‘e-consult’ and/or tele-ID consult requests, and occasional supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows in inpatient and ambulatory settings.

Qualifications

• MD or DO or equivalent required and licensure eligible in NC.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited ID fellowship by start date.
• Board certification or eligibility in Infectious Diseases.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in NC.

Responsibilities

• Provide general ID consultations at UNC Medical Center and Hillsborough Campus.
• Participate in ambulatory and inpatient e-consults and tele-ID consults.
• Occasional supervision of medical students, residents and fellows.
• Lead quality improvement efforts for inpatient ID consultation services.
