The University of Georgia invites applications for an Open Rank Professor position in the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center (CCRC). The candidate will lead in plant and/or microbial glycoscience with access to state-of-the-art infrastructure and training programs. Applicants must have a Ph.D.

and a plan for an externally funded program. At Assistant level, potential for developing vigorous programs; at Associate/Full, a strong record of funding and international recognition is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, Plant Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a relevant discipline.
• Two years of postdoctoral or relevant research experience.
• Outstanding publication record.
• Well-developed research plan.

Responsibilities

• Establish a robust, externally funded research program.
• Mentor graduate students, undergraduate students and postdoctoral research associates.
• Fulfill teaching obligations.
• Participate in furthering the mission of the University.
