Baptist University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Memphis, TN, is seeking a full-time, open-rank faculty member in Clinical Sciences with a specialty in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. The appointment includes teaching, research & scholarly activity, service, administration and clinical practice.

The position is on-site in Memphis and requires DO or MD with board certification or eligibility, plus a commitment to teaching excellence and scholarly work within a university setting.

Qualifications

• DO or MD degree with AOA or ABMS board certification or board eligibility in designated clinical field, or terminal degree with teaching experience
• Commitment to mission and vision of Baptist University Health Sciences
• Proficiency using computer with Office 365 applications

Responsabilités

• Participate in teaching, scholarly activities, and service in the Osteopathic School of Medicine with a goal of producing competent and holistic Physicians
• Direct multidisciplinary curricular courses and assess learners in third and fourth year of the Osteopathic medical curriculum
• Provide instructional experiences that support the college and university mission and goals
• Work with leadership to assess educational outcomes and use data to improve instruction and curriculum
• Full-time, non-tenure track, exempt position under department leadership
• Occasional hours beyond an 8-hour workday
• Time distribution across Teaching, Research & Scholarly Activity, Service, Administration, and Clinical Practice negotiated annually
