NEOMED invites applications for an Open Rank Faculty, Data Science position. Full-time non-tenure-track appointment at a rank commensurate with qualifications and experience in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field.
Primary curricular and teaching responsibilities within the College of Graduate Studies (COGS) and providing statistical consulting to faculty engaged in health professions research within CTRI.

Full-time non-tenure-track appointment at a rank commensurate with qualifications and experience in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field. Primary curricular and teaching responsibilities within the College of Graduate Studies (COGS) and providing statistical consulting services to faculty engaged in health professions research within the Clinical and Translational Research Institute (CTRI). This role will primarily support a new asynchronous online Master of Science program in Health Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Candidates with higher ranks may take on leadership roles in curriculum development, faculty mentoring, and program administration.
Teaching and Service: Participate in graduate student education based on areas of expertise, contributing to direct teaching needs. Evaluating the success of teaching contributions may be based on student achievement, student evaluations, course/module director evaluations, and peer evaluations. Ongoing success in teaching activities is essential to maintaining a faculty appointment. Active participation on college and university committees will be required and assigned. In addition, membership and participation in state and national professional organizations is strongly encouraged. Evaluating the success of service obligations will be based on level of participation and engagement in support of related activities.
Research: Participate in scholarly activities and/or research focus areas as appropriate. Participate in extramural funding opportunities, conduct collaborative scholarly inquiry. Maintain extramural funding and productivity, generate a percentage of base salary through extramural support. Publish quality papers. Serve on journal editorial board and peer‑review committees. Evaluating the success of this research obligation will be based on efforts toward publication and participation in extramural funding opportunities.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
