Job summary

The University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position in Cytopathology within the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, at Open Rank WOT with the clinician-teacher pathway. Appointments are non-tenure track, with 12-month service periods and competitive base salaries commensurate with rank and experience.

Responsibilities include diagnostic case sign-out, teaching medical and PA students, residents and fellows, and participation in interdisciplinary conferences,

Qualifications

• MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) required.
• Board certified in anatomic pathology.
• Board certified in cytopathology.
• Completion of Cytopathology Fellowship training.
• GI pathology expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sign out cytopathology cases as part of the division’s service.
• Teach medical/PA students, residents and fellows in the Cytopathology service.
• Participate in intraoperative consultation service and on-call rotations.
• Engage in interdisciplinary conferences and collaborative activities.
