Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a motivated Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) for a full-time faculty position in Charleston. The role combines clinical practice, teaching, scholarship, and student advising, with opportunities for leadership and perfusion education within the Division of Cardiovascular Perfusion.

Academic rank is commensurate with credentials and experience; remote work may be considered at the Division Director's discretion.

Qualifications

• Active certification from the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP).
• Master’s degree required or equivalent advanced training.
• Strong clinical judgment with safe patient care in perfusion therapies.

Responsibilities

• Perform principal duties of staff perfusionist under direction of chief perfusionist.
• Maintain ABCP certification through ongoing clinical and professional duties.
• Organize and maintain records for continuing education and competency of staff.
• Contribute to achieving AmSECT Pillar Award through training, QA/QI, and protocol development.
