JOB DESCRIPTION

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time faculty partner to join an established and nationally recognized nonoperative spine and musculoskeletal medicine practice in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Position Overview:
  1. Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
  2. Clinical Focus: The ideal candidate will treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions with a focus on spine in an outpatient setting. Proficiency in NCS/EMG testing is required. Growing our electrodiagnostic services will be a focus with this position.
  3. Teaching Opportunities: Teaching, clinical, and laboratory research opportunities are expected, with a focus on spine and musculoskeletal medicine.
  4. Collaboration: Numerous subspecialty support services including peripheral nerve, orthopaedic spine, neurosurgery, sports medicine, and physiatry-spine partners, with over 90 faculty in the department for seamless referrals.
  5. Growth: We anticipate substantial growth in outpatient physiatry spine services over the next few years, providing opportunities to develop new clinical sites of service.
  6. Support: APP and clinical support provided.
Qualifications:
  1. Certification: Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Those with fellowship training in non-operative spine are encouraged to apply.
  2. Certification: Candidates who are fellowship trained in electrodiagnostic medicine or board certified, and/or interested in pursuing board certification in electrodiagnostic medicine, are encouraged to apply.
  3. License: Eligible for NC Medical License.
