JOB DESCRIPTION


Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time faculty physician to join an established and nationally recognized spine and musculoskeletal medicine practice in Winston Salem, North Carolina.


Position Overview:
  • Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina
  • Clinical Focus: The candidate will treat various musculoskeletal conditions, focusing on spine in an outpatient setting. Proficiency in NCS/EMG testing is required, with an emphasis on expanding electrodiagnostic services.
  • Teaching Opportunities: Opportunities for teaching, clinical work, and laboratory research, primarily in spine and musculoskeletal medicine.
  • Collaboration: Support from numerous subspecialties including peripheral nerve, orthopaedic spine, neurosurgery, sports medicine, and physiatry-spine, with over 90 faculty members facilitating seamless referrals.
  • Growth: Significant expansion expected in outpatient physiatry spine services, offering opportunities to develop new clinical sites.
  • Support: APP and clinical support provided.

Qualifications:
  • Certification: Board certified or eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; required to obtain NASS or similar fellowship.
  • Fellowship: Fellowship trained in electrodiagnostic medicine or board certified, with interest in pursuing certification.
  • License: Eligible for NC Medical License.
