Job summary
Origin Mining Company, LLC is seeking a Mine Engineer to support the Mineral Park open pit operation in Arizona. The role focuses on safe, efficient performance with emphasis on mine planning, production optimization, drill and blast design, geotechnical monitoring, and productivity analysis.
The engineer will collaborate with operations, geology, survey, and maintenance teams to develop plans and drive continuous improvements that enhance resource recovery and safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in open pit mining operations.
- Experience with mine planning, design, and drill and blast programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly mine plans aligned to life-of-mine plans.
- Monitor mining activities for compliance with plans, safety standards, and objectives.
- Prepare and update short- and medium-term mine designs, production schedules, and sequences.
- Coordinate drill and blast programs to optimize rock fragmentation and performance.
- Develop ore stockpile, waste dump, and haul road designs to improve efficiency.
- Analyze production data and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
