Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for an open-pit mining operation. Reporting to the Crew Supervisor, you will operate heavy machinery, learn the Modular Dispatch System, and ensure a safe, productive workplace on a rotating 5x4 schedule.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of mining equipment experience, strong English communication, and the physical ability to lift 45 lbs. The role requires safety-conscious teamwork and adherence to company SOPs.

Qualifications

• Strong, positive communication in English. Willing to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Able to work on uneven terrain and in all grades.
• Willing to operate and learn multiple heavy equipment types.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric haul trucks and other heavy equipment per training.
• Communicate equipment needs and issues to team.
• Maintain safe, clean, and hazard-free work area and records.
• Follow safety procedures and site procedures (emergency, blasting).
• Perform pre-op inspections and monitor gauges and indicators.
• Complete company training programs on haulage equipment and safety.
