Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
• Eligible for NSAA/ABSA/ASA certification.
• Licensed Surgical Assistant in DC within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist attending surgeon during cardiac cases (open heart, valve repair).
• Assist anesthesia with induction and venipuncture.
• Maintain sterile field and proper body positioning.
• Prepare conduits and harvest grafts under supervision.
• Monitor and transport patient to ICU; conduct post-op rounds.
