Job summary

University of Massachusetts Amherst seeks an Open Education Librarian to lead the Libraries’ open education programs and services. You will collaborate with campus partners to develop robust, affordable course materials and promote open pedagogy across the university and beyond.

You will oversee events, workshops, and outreach, work with faculty, graduate students, and staff to advance OER, and report on metrics while aligning with campus priorities and national trends in open education.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in librarianship or related field by time of hire
• For Librarian II/III, relevant academic library experience
• Experience providing library instruction and outreach programming
• Commitment to user-centered service in academia
• Evidence of initiative and collaborative work in diverse environments

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise across the institution for creating, adapting, and adopting open educational resources and practices
• Lead Libraries’ open education initiatives and Open Education Initiative program
• Collaborate to assess and maintain platforms supporting OER and open pedagogy
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate open education events and outreach
• Represent Libraries at campus events and professional meetings
• Collect and report metrics on open education initiatives
