Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Data Scientist I to join our Open Banking data science team in Salt Lake City. The role focuses on affordability/credit decisioning and identity/income verification use cases, delivering market-leading analytics and dashboards for clients.

You will work as an individual contributor within a growing team, applying advanced data techniques and collaborating with data engineers to create engaging insights and user experiences.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or higher in CS, Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, Statistics or similar.
• End-to-end data science experience from framing problems to deployment.
• Experience developing interactive dashboards using Plotly Dash.
• Strong Python data science library knowledge and coding skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply data science techniques to large data sets from development to deployment.
• Collaborate with data engineers to build and deploy dashboards for clients.
• Communicate requirements clearly with clients and stakeholders.
• Lead customer trials, data specification, and result presentation.
• Drive product excellence and investigate new data sources and tools.
• Contribute to rapid prototyping, reproducibility, automation and data governance.
• Engage with Mastercard data science communities to share knowledge.
