Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking an OPC Engineer to advance computational lithography for next-generation semiconductor technologies. You will develop and maintain OPC files, optimize patterning solutions, and collaborate with design, lithography, and metrology teams to improve yield and manufacturability.

The role requires a strong foundation in optical proximity effects, scripting for automation, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable improvements. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field related to lithography or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience in optical proximity correction, computational lithography, or semiconductor lithography.
• Strong understanding of pattern fidelity, process-window behavior, and design rules.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, maintain, and optimize OPC technology files and recipes.
• Evaluate OPC strategies and model-based corrections to improve wafer fidelity and yield.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement computational patterning solutions.
• Perform root-cause analysis of printing, patterning, and hotspots using simulation and wafer data.
• Validate OPC solutions through simulation-to-wafer correlation and quality control methods.
• Develop automated analysis, verification, and data-processing workflows to improve efficiency and cycle time.
• Research and apply best practices in OPC and computational lithography.
• Communicate results, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
