Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking an Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) Engineer to advance computational lithography for advanced semiconductor processes. You will develop OPC files, run simulations, and collaborate across lithography, design rules, and metrology teams.

You will optimize pattern fidelity, improve process window, and contribute to yield, while applying automation and data analytics to streamline development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (EE, CE, Physics, Materials Science, or chemical engineering).
• Experience in optical proximity correction and computational lithography.
• Experience with scripting for automation (Python, Perl, Tcl, shell).
• Fluency in English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, maintain, and optimize OPC tech files and workflows.
• Improve pattern fidelity, process-margin, and yield through OPC strategies.
• Collaborate with design rule, lithography, etch, metrology, modeling teams.
• Perform root-cause analysis of printing hotspots using simulations and wafer data.
• Validate OPC solutions via simulation-to-wafer correlation.
• Develop automated analysis and data-processing workflows.
• Advance industry best practices in OPC and computational lithography.
• Communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders.
