Job summary

Intone is seeking an experienced GraphDB Architect to design and implement graph database-based solutions for a leading US Healthcare Payer. The role focuses on graph architecture, knowledge graphs, data modeling, and provider data management lifecycle using GraphDB.

You will translate business requirements into scalable graph models, define ontology and traversal strategies, and guide engineering teams while establishing governance, security, and performance standards for enterprise graph

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data or solution architecture.
• 3+ years hands-on with Graph Databases / Knowledge Graphs.
• Experience designing enterprise-grade graph solutions in healthcare.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced GraphDB Architect to design, architect, and implement graph database-based solutions for a leading US Healthcare Payer.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Graph Database architecture, knowledge graphs, data modeling, and healthcare payer data, with hands-on experience designing enterprise-scale graph solutions. The candidate will work closely with business, data, and technology stakeholders to develop solutions that improve the management, quality, lineage, and usability of complex healthcare data.

A key focus of this role will be architecting and implementing a Provider Data Management Lifecycle solution using GraphDB, covering provider onboarding, provider relationships, affiliations, credentialing, network participation, data quality, and ongoing provider lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement enterprise-grade GraphDB / Knowledge Graph solutions for healthcare payer use cases.
• Design graph-based data models representing complex relationships among Providers, Organizations, Facilities, Networks, Plans, Contracts, Locations, Specialties, Credentials, and Affiliations.
• Lead the architecture and implementation of a Provider Data Management Lifecycle solution using graph technologies.
• Translate healthcare business requirements into scalable graph data models and technical architectures.
• Design graph schemas, ontology models, relationships, traversal patterns, and query strategies.
• Integrate graph databases with existing MDM, data lake, data warehouse, API, and enterprise application ecosystems.
• Establish data ingestion, transformation, entity resolution, deduplication, and data quality processes for graph-based solutions.
• Design solutions supporting provider 360, provider affiliation discovery, network adequacy, provider directory accuracy, and provider relationship management.
• Define approaches for handling master/reference data, identity resolution, provenance, lineage, and temporal changes in provider information.
• Evaluate and select appropriate graph technologies and implementation patterns based on business and technical requirements.
• Develop proof-of-concepts and production-ready implementations and guide engineering teams through delivery.
• Establish architecture standards, governance, security, performance, scalability, and operational best practices for graph solutions.
• Collaborate with data architects, enterprise architects, product owners, healthcare SMEs, and engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture documentation, design reviews, and mentoring.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, solution architecture, or related technology roles.

3+ years of hands-on experience with Graph Databases / Knowledge Graphs.
