Job summary

SAP is seeking a Data & Applied Scientist to advance ontologies and semantic grounding for SAP's AI agents. You will build semantic foundations, harmonize data from diverse sources, and contribute to production-grade AI solutions grounded in enterprise contexts.

You will collaborate across product, engineering, and business teams, applying ML/DL and knowledge graphs to real datasets. This early-career role offers growth in a collaborative, trust‑rich environment at SAP.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
2+ years of Machine Learning, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field experience work.
Foundational understanding of knowledge representation, semantic data systems, or graph databases.
Familiarity with at least one graph query language (SPARQL, Cypher, or GQL).
Exposure to GenAI concepts—RAG, embeddings, vector databases, semantic retrieval.
Solid Python and SQL skills; experience with ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
Eagerness to learn production-grade development practices and operate AI/ML end-to-end.
Clear, collaborative communication style.

Responsibilities

Build semantic ontologies and semantic models to ground SAP's AI agents.
Maintain and evolve enterprise ontologies and knowledge graphs across data landscapes.
Apply ML/DL and statistical modeling to evaluate AI solutions on real enterprise data.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams across SAP platforms.
Work with cloud/data platforms (Databricks, SAP Datasphere, AWS/Azure/GCP) to scale workflows.
